Privacy

Sunni One has no accounts, no sign-in and no advertising. This page explains the little that does happen with your data, most of which never leaves your device.

The location tool on the homepage

To show namaz times for where you are, your browser asks our server for an approximate location. That location is worked out from your IP address by Cloudflare, the network that delivers this site, and passed to our server with the request. We send it straight back to your browser and do not store it.

If you tap Use my precise location, your browser asks for your permission first. Your precise position is then used only inside your browser, to work out the times and the qibla for exactly where you are and to suggest the nearest city page. It is never sent to us.

The city or position you confirm is remembered in your browser's local storage so the tool can skip the lookup next time. It stays on your device; clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our web server keeps a standard access log (the IP address, the page requested and the time) for up to 10 days, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use it to identify or profile anyone.

Cookies and analytics

We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from abuse. If we add privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics later, this page will say so first.
